Virtual Trust/NAU Leadership Academy
Due to continued health and safety concerns, we will be hosting the June 2021 Trust/NAU Leadership Academy virtually as a one-day, interactive, web-based event. We hope to be able to return to a traditional in-person, three-day Academy in the fall.
The virtual Trust/NAU Leadership Academy will take place on Wednesday, June 9 from 10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Participants will learn about school-related legal risks from NAU faculty and Arizona’s foremost education attorneys. Participants will also be able to discuss these issues with peers from around the state (virtually rather than in-person). The day will begin in a standard webinar setting, and then—similar to the in-person Academy—small group discussions will occur, allowing participants to work through real-life leadership issues and legal response.
To register for the Academy, click here (registration is limited). More information will be shared with registrants as the Academy approaches.
Please note: If multiple administrators from your district are interested in participating, we encourage district staff to attend the virtual Academy together—perhaps in a large conference room to maintain adequate social distancing—to discuss the scenarios that are presented.
