THE TRUST'S EXPERIENCE |

The Trust has grown to become the largest single insuring entity for Arizona public schools. Since it began with five school districts in 1986, the Trust has grown to its current membership of 248 school districts and community colleges with approximately 800,000 students, 11,500 vehicles, $12,500,000,000 in property values and 100,000 employees. Annual revenues have also skyrocketed from under $1 million in 1986 to more than $47 million at July 1, 2006. A key reason for this impressive performance has been the consistent leadership and administrative management of the Trust. In 2005, Michael E. Tiffany, Jr. assumed the position of Administrator. Mike has been involved with the Trust, in various roles, since 1987. Staff assistance has been provided to a strong Board of Directors, which was chaired by Joel Wirth of Chandler Unified School District for 12 years and is currently chaired by Clyde Dangerfield of Gilbert Unified School District. The Trust’s leadership team has continued to and will continue to provide visionary, consistent management for the organization, providing Trust members with peace of mind that their organization is in good hands.
